Biography:

Vaughn Avery is a world touring mime and circus arts performer who currently resides in Haines, Alaska.
Vaughn began his study of mask making in 1977 apprenticing with M. Carrinigton Arredondo, Martin Leather Designers and Jim Gerbeaux. He continued his studies of mask making while touring Japan and Europe.

The designs in this showcase are based on the 14-17 century Florentine style of leather molding. Vaughn does use modern paints which are not carcinogenic.
These masks are flexible enough to shape to your bone structure and sturdy enough to last a long time, with proper care.
